    Spanish cross gold

    Hello all,

purchased this piece from a friend. Any ideas on the maker. Pin reminds me of the deschler ek1 and kvk1 crosses. Details are a superb. Clean soldered eagles, nice catch, polished highlights offset the matte background finish.

Cant see the mark..Its attractive, but ive never had one so cant say about originality. Eagles are soldered on , and it seems to have some patina, and wear on the eagle heads ,etc on obverse, tail is out instead of down, wich is a plus...but ? Im sure youll know soon.

Looks like it was destroyed by holding it against a buffing wheel.

I think you're right, over polished on a buffing machine

I assume youre referring to the faint mark that is on the pin with reference to buffing?

I'm with Bob. While it appears "pristine" on the obverse, look at the eagles and Swastikas. They appear to be worn down so much they are rounded and smooth. The detail is gone.
