    EK 1 coated

    I got this one many years ago with this coating on it from a vet. It is marked 100 on the back of the pin. I was told, I think on the forum, that the coating was a protective coat that came on some EK1s from the maker. Is this correct? I have never seen one with it before. I had always left it, because that was the way I got it. What do you think?
