    Ek2 opinion??

Can i have your opinions on this Ek2 i am looking at.
Its iron centre 3 piece and has a what looks to be an incomplete stamp on the ring.
the packet has the fold on the left on the back which i have read on the forum can mean it is a repro.
    your thoughts.

The EK looks like an original example, any chance of further pics? Hopefully some others can comment on the packet.

Swaz on platform, high numbers, Chr Lauer a qualified guess, but to know for certain, better pics are needed..

The EK II could be by G. Brehmer.

          I agree, a G. Brehmer '13'.

Did Gustav Brehmer make the swastika like this on all his crosses? I'm not sure what to call it...the platform under the swastika...

They had two cores, one with and one without the platform. I say two, although it may have just been a die press set-up difference. I believe Daniel knows more about this.

                  Steinar,

One of my '13's has a very shallow platform, which is the reason I presumed (venture without authority ) the difference may come from the die press setup. The others have very strong platforms.

Very nice cross, as many Brehmers are. Here's a very high platformed example...

When I get some more time I'll take a shot of the minimal platformed cross I have.

                        Very nice as always Robert

The finish on these crosses are well preserved. What a quality!!!

Here are my (8) GB's. The first two on the top row (the 2nd being stamped 800) have no step (flatform) under the swasi, and the corners of the swasi are very sharply defined. The remainder of the crosses all have the platform under the swasi, although the last cross in the bottom row has a very faint and shallow platform, and the last (6) crosses all have a slight 'rounding' of the outside edges of the swasis. Perhaps Grueni (Daniel) is correct when he said GB's had two different cores.
