Finding Information on Medals and Recipients

Hi All,

I'm a new member of this forum and look forward to taking part in discussion. One question I have for any members is - How can I go about finding more information on a recipient of the Knights Cross. I am also looking for any suggestion on websites, organisation names etc that would help me find missing items.
My Late Grandfather was a Knights Cross recipient, and although I have some of his memorabilia, there is a substantial amount still "out there" that I'd like to ultimately track down.

I have also tried to find details of areas, books etc where I might find a full rundown or illustration of all medals awarded to "Heer" Soldiers to identify all the medals that he did recieve.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is it possible that you could name your Grandfather - who knows, maybe members here can put you in touch with the missing items. Can you post pics of the items you have got, many here will be able to help identify them and point you in the right directions.
