I really think the spange is OK, although I would like to know it's weight. Here's another of my unknown maker spanges with different angle of lighting on head...

I'm going to play with some lighting and try and capture the same detail as the first spange which started the thread. I think the area below the eye is detailed because of the lighting, IMO.

Still, can you post your spange's weight?

I could have placed the light source to the right further and really captured the 'ring' around the left side of the eye, but I think this is enough...
