I'm still not convinced it's a F. Zimm, too many small differences in the beading. I'm not totally excluding it, just need more time comparing both in-hand. Thanks for your input, my friend.

I had asked that question on a German Forum some time ago , ... with only a vaque answer as ... " possibly could be ? " ... but not more is know at this time .

EK2? Hey ! I think its maker 93 or 94....go for 94. Im sucks on this..but somtime I must try my small knoledge I got to learn and probably shame me out.

The 93 is not a ringer, I have one in-hand. I didn't think 94 (unknown manuf.) made EKII's? Do you have a marked 94 cross to show?

Is the cross you started this old thread with the same one (shown below in a different one of your photos) that had some discussion in other threads? Thought by some to be an unmarked '20' CF Zimmerman (even though it seems it isn't)?



If so, I recently acquired a match to this cross in a marked Moritz Hausch (PKZ 127) Packet. To my knowledge there are no known '127' marked EK2s. Is that correct also?

I have enquired of the seller (a reputable and friendly German dealer) if he picked it up directly from a vet, or elsewhere. But first I am just curious if the two crosses are the same (yours shown above, and yours that started the thread)...

Here's another. This one had its ring (badly) replaced with a '39' stamped ring (probably from another medal entirely)

Thank you, Robert. So this could be a Moritz Hausch, I suppose, as easily as any other maker who never (as far as we know today) marked. On thing that I've not seen mentioned in threads about this type is that the core is blackened, not painted, which always looks beautiful in my opinion.
