      Dear Merdock,

      Due to the date and the flange that is sometimes wide, sometimes narrow, I am afraid you caught one of these. Pic credited to Detlev Niemann:

            Frank;

            What are you referring to as the flange?
            Best regards,

              I think he means the outermost part of the cross itself, the rim. See how it varies in thickness, most notably on the 9 o'clock arm?

                    Guitar-Tony, not the flanger, the flange!!!

                    Seriously, is the rim not called flange in English? I thought I read that somewhere.

                    Cheers, Frank

                      OH!! Okay Frank, I understand now....I was wondering why I couldn't locate that DOD Flanger in the pic!

                      I dunno about the name. I always called it rim/frame.
                      Best regards,

                      Tony
