This measures about 42.5 x 42,5 mm and is one piece. What say you to the question of originality? I figure very early TR issue...

It is what it is and possibly worn in a POW camp or in the post-war Bundeswehr. It is still a fine collectible with a history that inspires wonder.

Cool, thanks to all for responding I know how some of you feel; when I had my 1936 Plymouth I hated how it had been chopped and butchered by various owners over the years but eventually I realized that was part of its unique character. Still, it is good to have nice objects in pristine shape!

With these denazified crosses its certainly no problem to let visiting guests handle them and take closer looks. Speculating on how they were denazified is always a good conversation starter.

Best Christmas wishes to you all. I put this up last year but I'll do it again now...

i think everyone would agree, that it would be better perfect, but its been de-nazzed, and thats all part of its history! up to a couple of years ago i too had no interest in 57ers, but now i love them too, its all part of the big picture!!

Ausgang, that is one hell of an awesome cross
I would absolutely love that in my collection.

It could be both, I would not want to own a carwreck either, but I do love cars.
