    Die Flaws

I know this question may sound stupid, but I have done some searching on the forums under RK's and have heard and seen the term 'die flaws' being used quite often....I am not entirely sure what a die flwa is and where it is found.....Is it on the beading or the actually silver of the arm?

If anyone could explain I would be greatful.

A die flaw is is tooling getting in bad shape. They then leave marks on the rim,
as you can see if you search for maker 4 Steinhauer & Luck they have a known mark on left arm rim. And some that did have even worse tooling, one was maker 7 Paul Meyhauer Berlin , ive got a 2EK from them that has flaws on the rim all over realy uggly!.

      Hello David,

If you check out the current thread about S&L crosses with die flaws (the one that seems to be anchored to the top of the page! ) and look through it you will see many pictures of crosses with die flaws and some are even pointed out.

      Best regards,
      Adrian.
