EKI marked 16

Hi All

I am looking for opinions on this EK I. It is marked "16" and came with a vet letter and afrikakorps cufftitle. I did some searching and could not find any "16" marked EKs on WAF. I found L/59 (later version) but not 16. Thoughts?

That is a very nice 'L/16' S&L.

It's actually L/16 .. and looks fine to me

I thought it could be L/16 as under a loop there seems to be a "/16" but no L... There could be a little of the bottom horizontal line of the L before the /16 but I might just be looking for things. Thanks for the opinions/help!

That's exactly what you're looking at, the main upright of the 'L' is missing so you have a _/16 mark.
