IMO, the cross on the picture is one of those "painted on" or photoshoped pictures you see quite often. The RK looks pretty small in proportion to the rest of the portrait.

Just for the recored, Darrell, I have made this picture larger, if that would have anything to do with it? I see what you mean though, but, i am fairly certain that is his cross, ill show you what I mean tommorow when I have the cross in hand.

I have no doubts that the general did not have a sore throat at the time the picture was taken. The cross he is "waering" was retouched later on.

Heres another picture, but its further away, has this cross been placed on him using photoshop? At this distance, its extremley hard, if not impossible to determine the maker.

That one looks authentic to the picture.

                      Surely not solely pre 1941?

After the LDO forbade private retail, Juncker would have dropped the L/12 until the PKZ code '2' was introduced. Therefore after 1941 until 1943-ish they would have reverted back to just the '800'?

                          Cheers Allan!

Im a bit concerned, tracking this thing through the fedex website, either theyve got lazy and decided not to update it and its actually at the local fedex place in norwich (norfolk) or its been at stansted airport all day not moving or doing a thing...

Nice cross, what is the provenance? I would think that even if it was not the cross he is wearing in the pic he might well have had 2 copies. It would really depend on what "proof" there is.

                              Best, Sal

It came from a split group sal, this rk has passed only a few hands (that I know of) I wont say who, but theyre in this forum somewhere, theyll come forward if they wish.

I think detlev has handled the group at some point, im not sure though.
