    EK2 mm '60' - Katz & Dehle, Pforzheim.

This beauty arrived this morning, a marked '60', Katz & Deyhle.
The glossy paint has been removed from the swastika and the core is the loosest of any example I own. The makers mark is an incuse stamp, really clear so no mistaking the numerals.
Quite a rare maker to find and I'm glad to be able to add it to my collection. Thank you Danny.

Great cross with lots of characteristics. I also like the patina, a shame all the paint from the swastika is gone. Still a super cross

            Glad you like it Adrian!

They are a great looking cross and I love the really wide swastika.
            Here's my one for comparison.

            Regards - Danny

Thank you Steinar, I know what you mean, it would be nice if the paint was intact but I really quite like the contrast between the swastika and the rest of the core. It's the first I've owned like this.
Danny, is the paint on your example glossy also? The swastika on these definately is 'in yer face'!

Yes, it has a high gloss finish. It's hard to tell from my scans as I lightened the image to show the details.

You can see how much the core moves around by the scuffs on the paint as circled....

Whoa, that makers' mark is very crisply struck, Adrian. An excellent example, and just how I like 'em: with a bit of honest-looking wear.

                      Best regards,

Danny has a knack for finding some nice and rare EKII's, He has quite a collection!
Adrian, I personally love the look of the bare Swastika and this was often done by the vet to set it off when viewed! A meaty Swastika that remainds me a bit of unknown maker 75's Swastika.
                              Best Regards!
