    Oakleaves 800 L/12

Now, I know these are not liked by many to be period made and Dietrich doesn't have them in his book but thought I would post it anyway for some opinions.
    Thanks.

    Regards,
    AB.

Spanish cross in Gold CEJ 900

I came across this SCiG marked CEJ 900 but something is not sitting right with this one. If my memory is correct CEJ 900 marked gold crosses should only have 2 arms on the swastika cut out. Can someone confirm this? also the 'J' doesn't look right to me.

        I would appreciate your opinions.

        Regards,
        AB.

                          Andrew,

there are L/12 and L 12 oakleaves in abundance. I still have to do a study on the three or four different types Niemann is 'catalogizing' plus the ones now appearing in Formans' new work. Maybe some of them are the same, maybe 'yours' is even one of them - or a new one.
However, I think I have a very, very solid lead and pictures and scans of THE L/12 oaks (since I have no doubt some have been made during the war). But this will pi$$ off some dealers again ...

The reason there are not in my book is fairly straight forward: neither L/12 nor S&L nor any other non-Godet manufacturer supplied oaks and swords to the Präsdialkanzlei in noticable numbers (if at all) and I only wanted to show 100% originals and not speculations, possibilities, variations, jeweller copies, second pieces, third peices, home made pieces and all the other very imagitative items. Others can and did that already in abundance.

And I think that is the way a book ideally should be with only period examples like yours. Its comforting to know that you can pick up a reference book on TR and be sure that its contents are known originals i.e. Mark's Flak book and Tom's CC book to mention a couple.

I mention the fact that L/12's were not in your book not as criticism but so people would realize that there is no definitive book, at this stage, on L/12 Oaks and so I wanted to get a feel of what people think of this set. But opinions are based on knowledge available and I guess the jury is still out on L/12 oaks.
