I think this is going to be a good one (if we get better pics). What are you not liking Ludwig?

It's really important to see if that small stamp on the pin is really a "4", as Sal indicated. I would also like to see the details of the eagles a lot closer.

I think it looks "soft". "Soft" swastikas for example + some rough/unfinished edges.
But I also admit that with the new pictures it looks better.
I´m not very stubborn in this case.
I know that you have far more experience of SCs than I, Sal.

I guess my eyes are not that great:-) I am unable to make out any numerals. I would appreciate opinions if this cross is authentic, it was given to me as such, however I wanted to get all the expert opinion on this forum before makinga final decision.

My "instinct" says (for whatever that is worth...probably not much) that this is a real badge. I like the pin and catch set-up, and even though the detailing is a little soft, I have little doubt that these crosses were produced in quantities far greater than we might think, including by companies we may never have heard of (or at least not heard of as SK makers).
