I'm posting this for opinions. It came with a grouping, but the details look off on this one to me. Then again, I'm not a dedicated cross collector. The small ring has broken loose from the cross on one side, and I see no markings.

Hi Ian: original Souval IMO note beading flaw, along with clawed feet on outer beading corners, and rounded inner beading at swaz. see if it marked 98. on the ring good luck.

My un-marked Souval looks the same. Yours is original.

I have 2 EK2s in my collection which have the ring loop soldered on only one side (or over the years has come undone on one side). This seems to be fairly common on all of the EK2s I've inspected over the last couple of years.
