Oh, you're right. Yes, on the 1914's, I forgot. Well, I'm going to be doing some real research with this piece. High expectations! If nothing more, it's a beautiful cross with great wear and patina. It will look nice on a worn tunic, or next to another nicely darkened cross.

    Yes, the Meybauer pin...

      Hello gentlemen.

Maybe I can help you to solve this "mistery". Since I own some Wiedmann crosses as well as the type in question I had the opportunity to compare them in detail. Therefore I can say for sure that everything - except the pin - is Wiedmann. It is not very hard to come to this conclusion, since even the very distinctive numerals are the same as on Wiedmann crosses.

....if anyone asks: Actually I am drinking English breakfast tea...

PS: Daniel, the cross you showed in post 10 is in my mind a textbook K&Q - except the core....

      best regards,
      Stefan

        Stefan

I too have a Wiedmann SB. I'll receive the cross in a few days, and then post some better photos. Thank you.

            Servus Stefan,

I don't think so, because K&Q is no "early" maker (IMO are all rounded 3 EK I's early pieces) and Juncker used the same hinge and pin system like K&Q. Maybe it's better to say K&Q used the same hinge and pin system like Juncker.

IMO another Wiedmann with the early hinge and pin system.

Hi Daniel. I am personally not convinced in this cross. However, we can only specualte without having the cross in our hands.

                  Thanks Daniel,

I'll have to study my cross when it comes in and compare it to the cross you just posted and to my SB Wiedmann. I'll post some larger photos of it here. Thanks again!
