In all the files, there was nothing about Juncker at any other address. Perhaps the Ritterstrasse location was used by them for record storage or shipping. No assets were shown as seized under the Juncker name (or the names of any of the principals of Juncker).

How delicate is the subject of metal detection in Jakobstrasse now? If one was to apply?

Unfortunately, nothing for Juncker, BUT the search did reveal that Alte Jacobstrasse ended up in the RUSSIAN zone, so there are no real postwar records of seizure activity in this area in the U.S. archives, except for one (which was due to mistake, because of a zone mix-up). The property seized came from the grounds of 65 Alte Jacobstrasse, just down the street from Juncker. Of great interest is that the structure there was noted as being "Completely destroyed". While not conclusive, this certainly indicates that the street was hard hit by the bombing shown in my previous posts.

Because this area ended up in the Russian zone, there is little hope of finding anything else in U.S. records.
It seems to me that Juncker's property on Alte Jacobßtrasse 13 was still in the American zone of West Berlin but close to the wall. Here's a Google map of Berlin today showing the location of Juncker's old property and the same area on an old map with the position of the Berlin wall. I guess #65 up the street from Juncker was just on the Russian border (although it still looks south of the wall) while the Juncker property was south of the border.

        Best regards,
        ---Norm

Juncker was well south of the wall inside the Allied (American) sector.

Here are some views of the former Juncker site at the corner of Jakobstraße and Ritterstraße.

And a view of the same corner from the vantage point of Ritterstraße, looking south.

Perhaps what was compiled and shows up in the Archives was based on what might have been claimed by the Russians before any wall actually went up. In any case, Norm's observation is very interesting and it might be worth his time to get with the Archives and see what might be found now.

It would be very interesting to learn that there were Juncker items which might have survived and stayed in the West.

As a sidelight concerning Juncker mysteries, here's an interesting Juncker RK (sent to me by Trevor) with what appears to be a Schickle core.

The records in the Archve seem to indicate that No. 65 was regarded, at the time, as being in the Russian Sector, although today it shows up well south of the wall, just as does No. 13.

That could have very well been the case since there was no wall and it was not really that important where the actual sector borders were drawn (meaning by the yard or so).

Just more rubble to clean up.

Sounds right. Probably didn't look too attractive or accessible to the Russians at the time the wall was going up.

Here's a map showing the wartime Alte Jakobstraße location relative to their location in 1960 at Lausitzerstraße 31, just a half hour walk away. That address is the greyed out area attached and to the right of Lausitzerstraße 32 shown in the Google photo.
