L54 EK1 Screwback - vaulted or not?

With regard to the L54 (without the /) screwback can anyone tell me if these are always found vaulted or can they be flat also.

George, you seem surprised by the fact that the screwback is flat. What do you mean? I believe that I also have an EK1 screwback that is flat although not the same maker as this one. I would value your comments.

I wasn't particularly surprised -- I had just not seen one before (a flat "L54" screwback) and I'm always anxious to see a new EK variation. I have a few flat screwbacks also. There's nothing really unusual about them.
