Do you mean the small clasps?
IMO they are not original.
I had one here and if you compare them in hand to known originals they look cheap and the details are not as crisp as you might expect.
Add to that the strange prongs wit a rounded end, and the yellowish tarbish the usually have, and you have a nice, convincing, but fake clasp.

Just reading over this thread as I was matching orig and fakes with their pictures .
Post 10 sums up umongst other things : Spange + Packet in post 3 is original .
Post 5 are reproduction Spange and Packet .
Do not both posts show the same Packet ??? Is the reverse maker mark a fake on an orig packet ? ..... or just a mis-referance ? As the one shown in post 8 is not mentioned at all in post 10 - but I asume to be a total fake then ?

sorry about the confusion, it's not too easy to follow!
if you look at the numeral '3' in 'i939' on the packets... you can see the difference
and the spangen called repro, are 100% repro. I have since had one in my hands

Yes I see the difference in the 3s and 9s .
The question was ; To me the packet shown in post 3 -front and post 5 - reverse are one and the same packet going by the bottom corner creases .
Bob H refers to it in post 10 ... the item shown in post 3 the front being original and in post 5 the reverse being a reproduction ??
