A question to the Schinkel ribbon : ,,,Why have/make a different width Schinkel ribbon 2.5 m when they have the larger ribbon ring ? Any reason to have different widths ?

I received my non-magnetic Schinkel with a 30mm wide ribbon which I believe was it's original ribbon. Others say the early Schinkels had the 25mm wide ribbon by tradition, so I changed the ribbon. I actually don't know which they are to have. I know the Meybauer Schinkels have a much smaller ribbon ring than the Deumers. Would this constitute a narrower ribbon? There again, I don't know.

The EK ribbons have been an area I have not found much information on .
Besides the black light test I have not done any 'burn' tests ,... a bit reluctant to do that . As the mesurment has come up just to ask if the 25 mm and 30 mm are the only EK2 Ribbon widths that were used . Now I do have one that is 32mm wide ???? . Amongst the 30 mm ribbons I have 3 colors of red , 2 different thickness , a course weave and regular fine weave , 3 different color band width layouts , and 2 different materials .--- as one material type feals cold and slick-silky fealing, non suporting loose weave and the others rough scratchy stiff , tight weave ribbon . The 25mm Ribbons have 2 kinds of red and are all the silky type , ... actually the same feal as all the WW1 ribbons I have and all incedently came with my very early EK2s !!!
Quite a complex issue , .... any ribbon expert that can give some insight here ?
