    EkII packet help

Hi can any one tell me who the maker is on the packet ,and even if it's a real packet. The cross in it is MM27. Any help is most welcome. Thanks In advance.

That is Jakob Bengel in Oberstein and a "44" marked cross will fit into that original packet.

Hi David, the paper packet is maker marked for "Jakob Bengal, Oberstein". The packet looks original to me. Modern copies are actually too good in the quailty of paper used. Wartime paper is more rough often with wood chips in it. A hands on inspection would tell.
      Hope this helps you?
      Cheers, Ade.

Hey Ade! No Bengal fire burning in the sleepy city of Oberstein. It is Bengel.

            Ade,

I've broken the camera so I can't post at the moment, but I have a fake EK 2 packet which is made of the chipboard style paper it's very good, but the ink designation gives it away, they come unmarked or marked.

Guess where and who I got it from, yes complete with 333 mint iron cross

            Speak to you soon,

            Marcus
