    Spanish cross/Luftwaffe grouping

    Hello,
I want to show you a grouping including a spanish cross and an etched Luftwaffe 2nd style dagger by Emil Voos / Solingen.
The man that wore these things has an interesting history.
He first served at the Reichsarbeitsdienst, then for about 4 years at the experimental department for tanks in Wünsdorf. After that he joined the Luftwaffe, fighting with the Legion Condor in spain 1938-39.
After their return to germany, he flew as an observer on board of a Do 17 Z 3 aircraft, fighting in poland, greece, england, bulgaria.
1941 his bomber was shot down near Minsk in russia, all 4 men of the crew had to jump out with the parachute.
The other 3 men of the crew were captured by the russians, 2 of them were cruely mistreated and killed. He was the only one to escape. The last picture shows this man saluting at the grave of his comrades, after their bodies had been found.
This is a true story, You can read it in the book about the history of his squadron, where his name and his story is told.
    Kind regards, Garwin.

              Lovely grouping indeed!

What's the LDO stamp on the bottom of the spanish cross? L/18?
              Kind regards,
              Giel
