    Diamonds from luftwaffe ace for sale = 91.000 US $ in Germany!

    In the german auctions house www.stauffer-auktionen.de
    You can go directly to: Das Eiserne Kreuz 1813-1945.
    NO. 928 is for sale:
    the diamonds of the knights cross perhaps from the chief of 4. NJG 1.
    The B piece comes from England with a story.
    Limit ist 65.000 Euro (90.000 US ). The piece was stolen from a german luftwaffe officier in North Germany 1945 by a english soldier!

    Do you believe this one?

    I do not understand german language, do we have to register to see the diamonds?

    and yes, it IS a shame that someone stole them and that they are now selling this award.

                    These are the so called "rufpreise" (limit prices)and they doesn't say much about the final prices. Finally the winning bids can be much higher than the normal market prices.

                      If this is an auction then the prices might seem low in order to generate more interest which in turn increases the amount of bidders and creates a bidding war pushing the prices up and up.
