I've got a KVK1 marked with a "3" which I'd really like to get your opinions on (it seems a bit odd to me). It has places on it where bronze colored metal has shown through and then what appears to be spots of grayish paint over top of it. Now I am not sure if someone tried to "touch-up" or "fix" spots where the finish had worn off but it's obvious that the gray color doesn't match the original color of the finish (and some have chipped showing the bronze metal under the what looks like touch up paint spots). Also the maker marking (number 3) appears in a different style then the other KVK1 pieces I see out there also marked with a number 3 (the 3 on this piece and the tiny box shape around it are distorted in a way which seems odd).

An acceptable Deumer version. There have certainly been a lot of KVKI's showing up since Gordon's book got circulated.
Don't give the dealers any ideas.
