1939 Clasp to the 1914 EKI - Clarification Needed

Hello, this is a follow-up to this thread started by Michael Gallagher http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=296310 .

I'm the guy in question who bought this piece for $200 and just wanted to verify that my interpretation of the thread is correct. From the posting from the other members I gathered that this is a good piece (Mayer) with a replacement pin from either Steinhauer and Lueck or Souval.

I will post some pics of the badge as well.

I didn't go through the thread you provided a link to, at least not past the first page. This spange looks to be an original Mayer with a variant hinge and replaced pin.

and if you want to make a profit, I'll buy it
I'm leaning towards wartime pin replacement. I don't think it looks post war (IMO)
