The obverse die characteristics on yours seem to match those on mine, but the maker's marks are different.
    Is yours tombak?

Looks allright except the makers mark, did Klein & Quenzer have different maker mark variations in EKs and KvKs, George? I like the patina anyway

I've not seen a mark like the one on David's KVK on a K&Q EK, but I have seen it on other K&Q KVKs.

The one Tim Ball shows has the same MM as the one I posted also the pin ETC: look to be the same. The #65 does not line up on Tims or The one George posted as well as the one I have posted. So are they fake or just a varation of there MM David R.

              Imo

If all of the detail of the front, including the stippling, matches on both types I'd be inclined to think that both were good but that for some reason the manufacturer used two different maker marks. (I can't really fathom that a faker would copy the obverse exactly, and then use a bad mark.)

Yes number stamps are too easy to get to use the wrong one, but one has to wonder why they did not use the same stamp? Made at a diffrent shop or made for them?
