    Round 'cornered' Knight's Cross!

Strictly science in nature! The forum has been very, very quiet regarding these alleged original RK's so I'm wondering if any of them have been sold since GL mentioned these is his book! Also, did any sale exceed $1,500.00 or were there any bites at all...
"Just pickin 'em up boss"......in other words I'm not trying to piss someone off! Just wondering...
    Regards,
    Dave

    Hi John,

I for sure didn't sell my contemporary, real, most likely Meybauer "7", shown in several pre 45 publications and pictures (clearly visible) and also at least traceble to one owner (Puttfarken) Ritterkreuz to nobody. And I will not sell in the future!

What is strange is that not even one Round Corner has shown up at Ebay and other similiar outfits. Judging by the way the regular Latvian goes, one should think that such a "good fake" (to quote you John) should sell well.

I know what you will say : "Neither has Detlev nor other dealers" So what, they are rare!

    Yours truly,

I thought that the RK was some kind of Iron Cross. Well, live and learn I guess....

Well ok! But still Mom said...Anyway (seriously) have any of these 'rounders' been sold or legitimized since the book's publication?
It seems to have dropped from the discussions abruptly.

I've not seen one offered anywhere.
It may be that this type RK has dropped from discussion because there is no new information -- pro or con -- to discuss.

Kurt, or John, or who ever you are, my round corner did not sell, but neither did my SS officers tunic or my panzer crash helmet. I do not know if the oakleaves and swords sold, the knights cross of the war merit has not so what does that mean? How was my spelling?

                      John,
I appreciate that you want to keep the Round Corner RK on the forefront since this is a very interesting and controversial topic. However, as long as there is no new evidence from your side other than the fact that none has been on the market since a very long time (Dave's being a sole exeption and the e-stand is not realy an "open" market) this doesn't count as a new finding against the factual and undisputable evidence this forum has dug up in favor of this cross type.

At this point of the discussion, I always fall back to my friendly and kind request that you provide ONE piece of evidence against this prooven RK. So far nothing, other then the usual statement that they don't seem to sell well. A fact which applies - for instance - to quite a lot of things on Detlevs, Helmuts and other websites as well and is not an indication of a fake at all!

As Bill said so nicely " We are beating a dead horse" and I'm no longer looking for proof of originality, I'm looking to proove that Meybauer produced this type.

Slow down boys! You are over reacting and needlessly defensive
My question was meant to possibly bring to light a 'known and knowledgeable' collector whom we might all respect that may have bought one and with their vast contacts possibly even identified an original owner....NOT that you folks aren't...I was hoping for some new blood!
                        Regards,

Okay, the "old blood" will shut up

.... but that will be the end of this one....

That's not the type of Rounder under discussion here.
