Hinge and pin system looks like L/56, but it's another numberdesign.

Look at the die flaw on the lower left side 6:00 arm... What maker has this, and more, much more?

            I like the cross.
Not 100% sure about the maker.
But If I remember It correct, than I sold a mm55 EK2 with an identical frame.

Robert, what flaw are you talking about?

I see what you mean Robert!
These are indeed all over the "J.E.Hammer & Sohn"ek's.
Intersting, I think I wil try to find some old pictures of the ek2.

                        55 J.E. Hammer & Söhne, Geringswald ???

Did not know that Hammer & Söhne was an EK1 maker ;-)

My EK II by Hammer & Söhne has these flaw on over 80% of frame

The numberdesign looks a little bit like Wiedmann.

Yes, Grueni, the high back on the '3' resembles a Wiedmann core. My quess would be a J. Hammer & Sohn. The core may be a variant. EKI maker? Maybe so. Funcke & Brunninghaus (L/56) were EKI makers we know, and their name is not on the official EKII list, BUT they DID make marked EKII's. There is a lot to learn.

                              I would say
Front-Side: 19 E. Ferdinand Wiedmann, Frankfurt am Main
                              Back-Side: L/56 Funcke & Bruenninghaus

Maybe Wiedmann use the Pin system from Funke?

I have got a pichture of a Wiedmann with the same flaw on the frame!!!
