One of the earlier designs for the designation on the top. Very nice, you see alot of the solid crosses on the boxes, I've 2 solid and one like yours, and yours is in better condition.........nice one all round.

Greg is it the lighting or does the browned (stained) interior belie the very nice exterior of the case...these crosses are not anything I've studied but I have had a lot of cases in my day..

ok, here you go.
first the upper padding looks like someone tok it loose and it was like that when i got it and so it has quite of few holes in it now from the kvk.
second is the close up, at 3:00 o clock it looks like it has discoloration but it's not the whole face is very clean.
what do you think i should do with the lid? i could tack it down with a itty bitty bit of clear glue so it won't move around???

I'm not sure what the best thing to do about the top is, or even if you should do anything at all. Sometimes it can do more harm than good.
Whats the maker? is that "L/15" for Otto Schickle?
I have one of these early cased KVK's too.
Mine is a "1' marked Deschler & Sohn, with the full KVK w/Swastica on the top.

it's not the lid it's the card board and padding with cloth thats someone pryed off to look behind! IDIOTS!!!!!!!!
well i think i'm going to tack it back up so it won't cause anymore damage.
