I assume this is a replacement ring???

    Hi

Getting rid of all my tr crosses and upon inspection of this one I see it is marked 84 which cannot be correct. Ring looks replaced but has anyone any idea as to the maker.
    Thanks in advance

Odd : hard to prove ; the number belongs to Carl Poellath . Maybe purchased crosses with new rings for private sale ???

            many thanks.
I have followed your posts before and know you know your crosses. I assume that no one maker springs to mind on this one?

I all ready sent Andy what I found and this is now for the benefit of others .
A close look and search has determined this cross to be a 2nd frame 2nd core type 132 . Robert Pierce had a post of them a year back that I used to start from .
                      http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...&highlight=132
At first it looks like the cores are the same but they do differ a bit as well .
Why the ring is marked 84 ? ...is just a guess , ...that 84 bought parts from 132 to assemble, mark and send in/or sell . They made KvKs and other items , maybe they tried a one time small batch of EK2s ?? Who knows ?
