    Nice done Douglas
    The only frames like on the mm84 that I'm aware of are the mm113's (variations?) that were posted last week.

      Thanks Luud : I had a look over there :
      This is the same core and frame as Flemming posted on his post , but his EK2 is marked 113 . This shows as was indicated certainly that one manufacturer was selling the same cross as parts or as a finished crosses to other makers . So in fact we have the same cross -frame and core marked- 84 - 113 and 132 . >> 132 shows up however with 2 frame and core dies !!! Who is selling to whom ??

          Defenitely interesting enough to look closer at these ek2's.

          I was not sure about the "113" marks and just searched for identical "113" marks on other medals, but didn't find them (yet).
          Because the ring on the mm84 was so sloppy soldered that my first tought was that the ring had been replaced. So I started to look for "84"marks on the forum on other medals like KvK, Ostmedal etc.

          Than I found this thread with another mm84 ek2 that is now listed in the fakes section:
          http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...2&highlight=84

          So it's getting a litlle more complex.
          I have seen the strangest things and combinations on ek's.
          So I don't want to give up on these, but uptil now I only have my Gut feeling.
          And based on the pictures I have seen (not had one of these in hand) my doubts about the originality of these ek's are getting bigger and bigger.

            Yes Luud I have gone over that post ;
            Interesting it has gotten . The reproduction copies that company makes are 'ugly' one piece and bad 3 piece crosses , thou the pictures on the site are bad and the frame with beading is of different quality and depth . ...strangely the design and dents match . !!! This would indicate the site has taken an original 132 or 113 and made a cast copy die of which the 84 132 and 24 and ???according to them other numbers have been used too . Cores could be a left over batch of originals or all post war made . The last possibility would put up Andy's , Flemmings and Robert Pierce's 2nd 132 type , all shown 84, 113 and 132 crosses as complete fakes .
            Take cover when they read this !
            In any case pictures I have seen from Robert Pierce and Andy are of such good detail and size that have everything a war time cross would have . If I remember Roberts has a magnetic core and Andy's core paint chip indicates gray - zink ? They still look like good ones to me . These would be the best fakes I have ever seen !!
