looks like an unmarked Souval or Orth to me, Eduard - as for the bent ring, that could be for any reason - looks like the ring sits pretty loose in there. Curious what the Ek freaks think about this one with Souval being one of the companies that never accepted may 8, 1945 as the day the war ended
      Best Regards

Perhaps it was an EK2 that had the ring modified for field use as an RK?

I've had a few EK2s that had bent rings similar to this but not as extreme. I always thought that its because it was on a medal bar at one time...

I would guess it was done deliberately due to the symmetry of the ring. It looks like a Souval cross which has had the jump ring broken/taken off and a new one put in place. I'm guessing that the frame was drilled through and the new ring added, it seems like it pivots. Maybe Eduard can confirm?

I have seen several crosses with a deformed ring, by accident or for any purpose, we will never know.

                  Hi Adrian
You are in the right things, the frame was drilled through and inside the hole is placed a ring, which is moovil and not fixed, and then put the big ring, with that special form, within the small.
Thank you all for your effort in this mystery

                  Eduard
