interesting object. Seems to have a even patina overall. Looks like a regular ek2, with the leaves and swords beloning to another medal, the ribbon suspension seems to be out of leather which I have never seen before. How wide is the ribbon, ek or rk size? If the ribbon is rk and real then you will have a good amount of cash and thats probably more than you paid.
Great object, but without provenance as always.......

                Thank you Schonbeck .
The ribbon is 26 mm,is it for RK or ek ?
Sorry but my knowledge about crosses is near zero
                More comments welcome

26 mm is for the ek2 and often encountered on schinkel crosses

Is it a single length of ribbon or several sewn together? It's a bit hard to tell with the fraying.

                      Ring marked ?

                      Interesting piece .
The wreath is from something else , can't say from what . Besides that it seams the connecting ring may have some stamped mark on it ?
I pulled up the picture marked it ,... does the ring move through the eyelet at all ?

It's a single length of very used worn ribbon with a big accident at one place.

Yes the ring move through the eyelet and the ring is stamped with "K K" and another stamp i can't read.
You're right the wreath is surely from another medal.

maybe a vet piece? as the oaks are on the non-swaz side? cobbled together post war? Maybe post '45, pre '57?
                              interesting
                              regards
