Spanish cross with swords in silver - opinions

2nd piece from my friends collection is this spanish cross in silver with
a quite strange needle.

Excellent cross!!! Ask a silversmith to fix the pin and you have an outstanding cross there!

Maybe the needle was bent when some one was trying to remove the badge with force from where ever it was attached.

I wouldn't have the pin fixed. That bend would not detract from the value at all in my opinion.

But it certainly would detract from the value if the pin breaks, snaps, or cracks. I'd leave it alone as well because even though it is bent, it is still a great cross.

For what reason? I do not think it would enhance the value. The bend is actually quite nice. The cross is not mint so it is not a flaw on an otherwise flawless cross.
