Has the different catches used (I here refer to the fact that the two here (and other I have seen e.g. on the main WA page) shows two different catches, one being round and one being more hard on the edges) something to do with when the EK's were produced or is it completely random?

I think it's to do with the time when they were produced, I don't know which came first round or flat.

Ok. The one I'm buying was allegedly awarded in 42 and that is a round one...
