    Follow up Thread EK2 S&L ?

    Hi all

    I posted on a Thread the other day about MY EK2 that i have, with Citation dated 13,11,1940

    I've tryed to get some better photos, However my IT skills are far from good

      There is what looks like a mark on the ring, However cam will not pick it out clearly

        Those are nice photos Justin,

        I've found what works well for photographing maker marks is shooting through a magnifying glass. It takes a bit of practice, but it will produce good closeups if you haven't a macro feature on your camera.

              Yeah, that's what I'm using. An EK collector can't be without one. I'm blind without it. Now, where did I put my glasses?

                This is the best Macro image of the mark, its not a join in the ring


                I Had the dam thing 2 weeks ago, I blame the dog/kid/Her in doors, But they wont give it back

                  I cannot make out anything in this area. I take your word that it's a mark and not the soldered joint.

                    will get a new eye piece tomorow, Ring with join at the bottum. mark on the right which does not go around the ring, it might be just a nick?

                      Could any one tell what maker made this, with out knowing maker mark on ring?, it was said in a past post that this is a early S&L EK2 which Core/Frame i'm still not sure?

                        It's an S&L with the second core, flat balls on 9's. Frame has flaws at 6:00. Second frame, IMO.
