I always wondered what the acorn stamp looked like. I have one marked this same way too. Thanks for posting.

Here's another '24' of mine with the 'acorn'. Nice frames.

Yes, the '24' beading was frosted, Friedrich. Look at the beading from the side and you will see a remnant of the frosting still present, if it is there still. Just the tops have worn down to the nickel silver.

And this is another mark on my dark patina frame '24'...???

I do see evidence of frosting at the foot of the steps and on the sides of the beading...
