My first EK2

Hi Guys,

This is my first EK2, it has no makers marks and am really a complete novice to this so i need your guidance. Can you distinguish a maker?....The pics are not great but its the best i can do...

Looks like an EK II by maker 24.

Maybe there is an extra maker's mark on loop ring.

Many thanks for the help, i had a look at the ring and what at first appeared to be scatch marks then turned out to be 24! so nice one!. Can you give me any further details on this?

Good original example for your first EK2!
EK2s by this maker generally have slightly wider frames than other makers and some have an extra mark on the small ring that is soldered to the top of the frame. If you try a search in this forum you will find most things you want to know!

That's right Adrian. Here's an example of what Adrian is referring to, a small mark on the jump ring...

Nice first cross, and welcome to the "sickness". Collecting EKs is a sickness, indeed an addiction. Once you get one, you'll want more. The only cure for this sickness is to keep buying them, as finances permit.
