    EK1 identification

    Hello all,

I would like to hear if someone can determine the maker of this one.
Of course I have been searching the dbase already, and my thoughts are a Klein & Quenzer A.G., alias 65.

    Am I right?

This was my first cross ever, so it always had a special place as well in my collection as in my heart.

    Thank you!

    Best regards,
    Martin

It's an original EK I by Meybauer.

              Aha!
              Then the hardware confused me...
As you never seem to fail me, I am dropping the 65 idea immediately!

              Thank you once again, Grueni.

              Best regards,
              Martin

The distinctive hinge and pin system was only used by Meybauer.

Grueni, I was confused by these pictures, that made me think it was a 65:

                    http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/iron.../65/5/65_5.htm

Now I see the 65 has a slightly more bend pin at the hinge, I believe?

                    Best regards,

                    Martin
