Oaks From a Bag of Tinnies

While sorting through a ziplock with about 10 tinnies and other assorted Imperial & European pins in it ...I found these Oaks. They do have nice detail but ..I can't lock them in. Any ideas ?

Are they supposed to be PLM oaks?

Because they don't look like KC oaks doesn't make them PLM/Imperial oaks either.

Well, closer to one than the other, but at this point they aren't anything at all.

Actually I don't. Imperial pieces have their own charactoristics, die flaws etc as TR stuff.

                      No, you are not.
These leaves ARE more "in the style" of PLM leaves than WWII leaves. The reality is they match neither correctly. There are certain types of each version which are readily identifiable as correct; however, there are, I feel sure, others
which have not yet been identified or which were made as wearing copies. The particular set shown here does not, quality-wise, do anything for me at all.

This is what I wanted to say Leroy, but felt I couldnt, purely because I dont have the knowledge about oakleaves atall

                          Mike,

These came out of my ads, with a load of Imperial German states orders. I never did figure it out. I never have had them tested for metal content, but they look like low grade gold to me.
