KVK I w/o swords

Hello,

I would everyone's thoughts on this cross.
It is a KVK 1 w/o swords mm L/52 and marked with a silver content of 900.
I do have my own judgement on this cross but I would like everyone else's opinion first.
All comments are appreciated.

Never seen one marked with 900 for silver content, most would be 835 or 935 if it were a silver content. I am sayin BS. matt

So you actually went on and bought it? It doesn't look like sales pictures from Detlev's site.

As far as I remember it didn't come cheap so I'd also like to know what I bought. Personally, from the pictures it looks good to me. Nice detail etc.
It is however one of a kind so it's hard to say 100% good or not.

Yes I bought it and have it in hand.
It really does have nice detail.

Since it is one of a kind I have been doing a bit of research trying to justify its oirginality.

First off the maker mark looks exactly as it should.

Also the 900 mark looks identical to the 900 mark used by Zimmermann on their RK des KVKs. Have a look at this link:

The catch looks identical to the kind of catch used on 20 marked German Crosses and the hinge looks the same as the hinges used on Spanish Crosses made by Zimmermann. See this thread:

Finally the pin. This was the bit that got me thinking. Then I realised that it is almost exactly the same as the kind used on their Iron Crosses. See attached picture.

Do you think that this is enough evidence to claim that it is original?
