    6 rivet DKiG opinions

    Hi Guys!
I have never owned one of these before so I don’t know exactly what to look for, could I get your opinions on this DKiG?
    Thanks!

      Hi Bob,

it is a Godet. Any marks under the pin? 21 in a box?

The wreath looks wrong for Godet IMO. The pin if Godet I would think replaced, interesting if it is marked 21?

          Hi Dietrich,
You must be able to smell these awards like a bloodhoundJ! There is no mark under the pin, I guess they were not all marked?
          Thanks!

I agree, a Godet. The nice gold fire-gilding has either toned very dark with patina, or worn off and exposed the brass wreath. A beautiful combat-worn piece! Congratulations!

My thoughts on the wreath too. The details above and below "1941" also appear worn off. I have seen the catch on Godets also applied much lower. In the photo it does appear to have nice Godet enamel

Thanks guys! I felt the materials and methods of manufacture looked to be period. To learn it is a Godet piece is a nice surprise!
                  Thanks!

To be honest, the wreath looks like it was once silver, not gold. I would be a little concerned by the messed up rivets though!

It might have been denazified at one point.

Looks like it could have been taken apart.

                          Hi,
from first looking stars , wreath and svastika don't seam to be a Godet cross but a Deschler cross....I will take a more closed look this evening at home...

                          I think it's a heavy cross....
please , can you write dimentions and weight?
