I will retract my previous comment! This one confused me by the apparent lack of any frosting/lacquer remnants and certain landmarks and finishing techniques I'm used to seeing, but I believe I can now see S&L in this cross after all.
Congratulations, Chris!
P.S. Perhaps it might be beneficial to all to have some discussion about the finishing of S&L rings. This one, to me, appears to have a ring with a slightly less pronounced "filing ridge" than that frequently seen. Comments?Last edited by Leroy; 05-13-2008, 07:06 PM.

Leroy, although I haven't (obvisously) seen all S&L Crosses, of those that I have seen, held and studied, NO TWO were exactly alike in the area of the ring...
This area was hand finished to a great degree! And, even though they are so different from Cross to Cross it is THIS feature, among many others that helps us identify a nice S&LRegards,
Dave
