Pair Round 3 - Different Makers??

I was looking at my Round 3 EKII and noticed that they were different both in size and dates.

This one in the year 1813 the 8 and 3 are setting lower than the rest of the numbers.

    Weight: 23g<O</O
    Ring: 14mm<O</O
    Size: 44mm X 44.5mm<O</O
    Frame thickness: 4.5mm<O</O
    Ribs: 30 per side<O</O
    <O</O

In the second one the 9 has been shaved so that it would fit in the frame.

    Weight: 23g<O</O
    Ring: 15 mm<O</O
    Size: 44.5 mm X 44.5 mm<O</O
    Frame thickness: 5 mm<O</O
    Ribs: 30 per side

Does anyone know who made these? Appreciate any help given. Thanks

    Jim

At the moment I know 5 different versions of the rounded 3's.
But I know only 1 maker of these and that's Deschler.

                Rounded 3 by Deschler

It's the same frame like the standard EK II's by Deschler.

                    Grueni,
why do you think Deschler made the other round 3 ek 's as well??

I have a large number of Deschler crosses, mm'ed 1 , L/10, unmarked, round 3 (ek1 and 2) and they all have the same frame.
Why use an entirely different frame just for these pieces?
Why use 3 different cores for a small series of round 3 crosses?

I know the big hole is considered a Descler trade-mark, but to call of of these crosses Deschlers based on that hole.....

So please explain your statement, I am always willing to learn.
                    Best regards,
                    Ben

From 5 "rounded 3" versions I know only one maker.
The other 4 versions are unknown (for me)

well, I guess I misinterpreted your remarks.

I thought you were repeating what you wrote a while back, that you were convinced Deschler made the other as well, based on the big hole in the hump.

                        Regards,
                        Ben
