Nice to see that someone want’s to make a big study on these.
I don’t want to go into too many details and loose the complete overview.
Like I said and discussed before (without result so far) all these frames are IMO Early W&L frames that are used by some different herstellers.
And Juncker was one of them.
The ek2 you show in post 38 is the only one I believe that has the Juncker core in it.
And is IMO a Juncker ek2 with frames bought from W&L.
So the comparison later on makes sense
The ek1 in post 39 is not from Ben. It’s mine .My name is also printed in the picture.
Sorry for that, but I have seen too many times ek’s for sale that are here in the vault.
I just took out all my mm100’s and L55’s to be sure but the core of my MY L/12 stamped is a 100% MATCH with my mm100 and L/55 ek1’s (with fully balls).
I believe it’s stamped by Juncker, it has exactly the same stamp as on my L/12 Juncker SB.
The only thing that impresses me is the Juncker name in post 31 on the ring.
If that name is stamped by Juncker themselves it would prove to me that Juncker also used the W&L cores and frosted their frames.
But I can’t believe that. I never ever seen a mark like that on a wartime stamped EK2 (Juncker or another) yet.
But it sure is worth to look deeper in that.
