    Meybauer EKI for show...

Not a mint piece, but I'm really starting to admire the older-looking awards dressed in their full patina, and even some green moss for character...

Thanks. A little alcohol and Q-tip removed the green 'growth' from Mars before it spread. Worked very nicely, and left the patina alone.

              Very nice Robert
Thats exactly how I like my crosses to be.
Good condition with a 60 year old patina. And Maybauers are one of the nicest.
Also nice to see that the case is also marked.

BTW: After being gone for 6 months it's nice to see that you're still here!

You might want to take your socks off first, or you'll lose them when they fly off...

I love the high relief Meybauer date...

See the green mold on that catch above? I'll bet you'll find some of that on your socks...

Than I would show you some Maybauer variants.

You're socks would be somewhere near the moon

                              Ha!

                              Luud,

I do have one Meybauer variant core that's got even higher relief on the date and swasi. I have, I think, 7-8 Meybauers. It's the only variant like this. It also shows up in a marked '23' core!

L/13 EKII or left, '23' on right...

                              Steinar, find your socks, man!
