Fake 1st pattern EK2 spange?

Just been to a local show in the UK and saw a quality 1st pattern EK2 spange in top condition but did not recognise the shape of the head which seemed to lie somewhere between the two accepted variants. It also had a high relief chest to the eagle. The thing that was noticable was that it was stamped on the back L/12!!

Unfortunately did not have a camera for photos. Anyone seen another like this of have a photo of one

Hi Rob think i saw that one too, had a flick to the back of he head,like a bald man brushing his hair back was a definate fake bat bird i think it was called, sure detlev had one in his fake gallery.All the best

Yes, that sounds like it, odd flick up at the back, must have missed that week on Detlev
