Darrell, I happen to know the buyer and can add that he isn't questioning the authenticity. It's his first EKI and he is just proceeding carefully as he is still new to the EK field.

I posted the cross as a courtesy to the potential buyer.
I have had the cross for several years now, and I have no doubts about it's originality.
