    L/16 Screwback EK1--Opinions

Just picked this piece up today and am quite happy with it so far. I was surprised to see an EK1 screwback by this maker with a brass center.

Comparing notes with the specifications in Gordon's book The Iron Cross of 1939, I see the cross compares quite favorably to the list on page 152/153 for this maker. Not sure if the one Gordon measured was iron or brass centered.

I cannot find any PICS of an L/16 maker's mark and wanted to see some others for comparison is possible?

Weight:19.2 gr Width: 44.0 mm Height: 44.0 mm

    Thoughts and opinions welcome.
    Tim

Thanks guys! Always nice to get other's opinions and have a comparison piece to double check things.

Sven, is your cross brass as well? Very nice and the vault is more pronounced than mine. I especially like vaulted crosses, thanks for sharing.

Hi Tim...my L/16 screw back cross is not brass it is the standard iron core, as you say its heavily vaulted and is loaded with the majority of its original frosting. I do have a Brass core screw back maker marked 58 which is very nice if you wanted to see the pics...cheers sven
