The document bears a facsimile signature of Hermann Göring and an original signature of General der Flieger Gustav Kastner-Kirdorf DKiS.

Well I can only go on my experience and that is when I have checked a DKiG document it's always matched the date in the book. You might get a better answer over on the paper awards and photo section.

On page 384 in Scheibert's book in the DKiG LW section, Wilhelm Schuck Oberfeldwebel, Flugzeugfuhrer in einem Kampfgeschwader was awarded on 01.02.1943. I hope for Steve's sake its wrong.

I have had this in the past where dates do not match, however I have many different refrences and others give the correct date...
With that said, where did Herr Scheibert get that date from?
I have numerous files on my laptop that I cross check but will check my books also when I get home this evening.
